Welcome Yonadav Grossman

Hillel at Miami is very excited to welcome Yonadav Grossman as our new 2021 - 2022 Israel Fellow. The Israel Fellow position, made possible by the charitable contributions of Cincinnati native and Miami alum, Marc Randolph, and a partnership between Hillel International and the Jewish Agency for Israel.

Hillel’s goal is to inspire every Jewish college student to develop a meaningful and enduring relationship to Israeli culture and society.

That’s why, since 2003, we have partnered with The Jewish Agency for Israel, placing Israel Fellows on campuses throughout North America to engage Jewish college students.

Jewish Agency Israel Fellows are charismatic young professionals who have served in the Israel Defense Forces. In their roles on campus, they share personal experiences of modern Israel through the lens of its socially-progressive values and its accomplishments in technology, life sciences, and the arts.

Working hand-in-hand with Hillel professionals on campus, the Fellows support students and help them to grapple with complex issues that are often emotional and may seem contradictory. Israel Fellows often become the face of Israel for the North American students they work with, offering them a unique and authentic relationship with Israel and Israelis

Meet Yonadav:

Yonadav grew up in a traditional family in northern Israel. He served in the Israeli army in the Nahal Brigade. After his military service, Yonadav lived on Kibbutz Ein Gedi and traveled to India and Sri Lanka. He studied communications at Sapir College in Sderot, near the Gaza Strip. For the past two years, he has worked as a project management consultant.
In the last year of his degree, Yonadav joined a community of students at Kibbutz Nahal Oz that took part in the production of cultural and social events for the kibbutz community. In the summer of 2020 he took part in the "Elul" program of the Beit Prat organization, which brings together young people from all over Israel for a journey of learning and deepening in the Jewish-cultural identity. In his free time, Yonadav likes to play guitar and piano, hang out with friends, travel, play basketball and go to the beach as much as possible.
