The Jewish Business Leadership Council

The Jewish Business Leadership Council is a groundbreaking partnership between Hillel at Miami University and the Farmer School of Business. JBLC is a unique community of future leaders where Jewish values meet business excellence.

This exclusive application-based program is designed for Jewish business students interested in a year of intellectual and personal growth. JBLC will empower students with the skills, networks, and insights needed to excel in business while staying connected to their Jewish identity and the concept of doing good. Over an academic year, JBLC students will have the opportunity to engage with industry leaders, participate in exclusive workshops, and collaborate with like-minded peers.

Council Members

Emily Lander ‘25

She/Her/Hers

Emily is a senior from Saint Louis, Missouri, majoring in Marketing and Co-Majoring in Sports Leadership and Management. She is highly interested in combining these fields of study with her career goals. After graduation, Emily hopes to work in sports marketing, leveraging her skills and passion to significantly impact the industry. She is thrilled to be a part of the first Jewish Business Leadership Council cohort and even more excited about the unique opportunities for growth, networking, and learning from industry leaders that this program offers.

Carly Gladstone ‘27

She/Her/Hers

Carly is a sophomore majoring in Information and Cybersecurity Management. She is originally from Airmont, New York, but lives in Parsippany, New Jersey. Her goals for the future include becoming a Digital Forensics Specialist, specializing in cyber-security, and working for the FBI or NSA. Carly is most excited about being a part of the first cohort of the Jewish Business Leadership Council, where she will have the opportunity to learn from others while sharing her thoughts and experiences with peers and established Jewish business leaders!

Sebastian Lubin ‘25

He/Him/His

Sebastian is a rising senior from Los Angeles, California, pursuing a bachelor's degree in Finance. Some of his primary goals for the future include obtaining a master's in finance and owning a home within the next ten years. Sebastian is very excited to participate in activities with like-minded individuals who may have similar experiences. With this, he hopes to build a network, leave behind something greater that others can eventually be a part of, and gain as much as he can from this experience.

Eric Glassman ‘25

He/Him/His

Eric is a fourth-year Finance student from Cincinnati, Ohio. He is interested in a wealth/portfolio management career and interned with a Cleveland-based RIA (registered investment advisor) this summer. Eric hopes to start his portfolio management career before transitioning into a private wealth advisor role. This program ties two critical aspects of his college experience: the Farmer School of Business and Jewish involvement, and he hopes to contribute to developing this partnership for Jewish students to come.

Tali Pinhas ‘27

He/Him/His

Tali is a sophomore from Chillicothe, Ohio, majoring in Organizational Leadership and minoring in Human Capital Management and Leadership. Tali's future goals include using his knowledge of business organizations to drive positive change and advocate for minority groups while fostering a more inclusive and equitable business environment. As a Jewish Business Leadership Council member, he is excited to connect with other business leaders and contribute to the council's development.

Josh Goetz ‘25

He/Him/His

Josh is a senior Finance major from Beachwood, Ohio, and a member of Miami University's Honors College. He is incredibly excited about the opportunity to join this council and work to strengthen the Jewish community within Farmer while creating lasting networks outside of it. Josh plans on attending law school after graduation and getting an MBA later. Following this, he hopes to break into the startup sector on the investing side. 

Joshua Schreiber ‘25

He/Him/His

Joshua is a rising senior at Miami University majoring in Organizational Leadership and Entrepreneurship with minors in Human Capital Management and Business. He previously founded GenZcruiting, a talent agency connecting midwestern startups to early-career talent. He also has strategic HR experience, serving in Business Strategy and Talent Acquisition roles at Rocket Mortgage (NYSE: RKT) and HR Technology at Coinbase.

On campus, he serves as Alpha Sigma Phi's Treasurer and a Pi Sigma Epsilon Business Fraternity member. Previously, he was the Investment Director of the Social Impact Fund, a Senator on the Associated Student Government, and the Outreach Director of the Monster Energy UpandUp Festival.

Joshua is also passionate about giving back, placing 1st of 24 IFC chapters in fundraising as VP of Philanthropy and raising thousands of dollars for organizations such as Magen David Adom and Homes for Our Troops.

In his free time, Joshua loves to waterski, travel, or spend time with his dog, Duke.

Brooke Kraizer ‘26

She/Her/Hers

Brooke is a junior from St.Louis, Missouri, majoring in Marketing and minoring in Digital Marketing. She is involved with a sorority on campus, and this summer, Brooke participated in two internship roles that deepened her passion for marketing and community outreach. She is very excited about this opportunity to build her network and work with other students in the cohort.

Heidi Sturm ‘26

She/Her/Hers

Heidi is a junior from Knoxville, Tennessee, majoring in Accountancy at Miami University. Heidi plans to get her Master of Accountancy within four years and obtain her CPA after graduation. She is looking forward to her upcoming summer audit internship at KPMG. After graduation, she hopes to work in public accounting in Charlotte, North Carolina. Heidi is excited to be a part of the first Jewish Business Leadership Council cohort because it is an excellent opportunity to connect with Jewish Farmer students while gaining valuable skills and giving back to two communities that have given her so much!
