Welcome from the Executive Director

We are so thrilled to welcome you to Hillel at Miami University. Thanks to the incredible generosity of our partner organization, The Jewish Federation of Cincinnati, we were able to open the doors to our Hillel building after nearly a year of being closed due to COVID. Upon receiving a COVID relief grant from the Jewish Federation of Cincinnati, we were able to thoroughly clean our building per CDC guidelines and to the standard of Miami University.

To minimize the spread of COVID-19 virus, Hillel at Miami University recognizes the recommendations of the CDC, local government, and Miami University in creating protocols and procedures for allowing individuals to enter the building. The Jewish value of “pkuach nefesh” (to save a life) is our highest value and as such all student programs will prioritize health and safety to minimize the spread of COVID-19.

We are now pleased to offer a hybrid strategy for programming that offers virtual participation options to students as well as small face-to-face options while leveraging alternatives (e.g. outdoor spaces) to promote physical distancing.

We are so excited to welcome all Jewish students to the Hillel at Miami University. You are the reason we are here.
