Whether you are the parent of a current or prospective student we know you are concerned about your student’s well-being while they are at university. Hillel at Miami University provides a warm and caring “home-away-from-home” for students. Here are a few tools that can help you connect with Hillel to enhance your son or daughter’s Jewish experience at Miami.
Our goal is to serve every Jewish student from the time they begin their studies until they graduate. As such we do not ask students to ‘join” Hillel and do not charge dues. Our national office, the Schusterman International Center (SIC) provides us with many program and administrative services. SIC also provides specific grants that we have received from time to time. Hillel at Miami University receives less than 50% of its operating income from various federations in Ohio, Indiana and Kentucky. Therefore, the majority of our annual operating budget, the funds needed to provide the programs and services that are vital to supporting a vibrant campus community, relies on donations from parents, alumni and friends.
