Get Involved

Hillel at Miami University is committed to connecting Jewish students to the many opportunities of Jewish Life on Campus. We have a variety of ways for students to get involved:

  • Apply for an internship.
  • Hang out at the building during Chillel.
  • Go for coffee or a meal with an involved student or Hillel staff member.
  • Participate in an alternative break or free trip to Israel.
  • Participate in one of the many Hillel programs.

Association of Jewish Students (AJS)

AJS works in concert with Hillel at Miami to provide social, educational, community service, religious, and cultural programs as well as programs related to Israel for the Miami University community. AJS students design programs with the intention of developing participants’ understanding of Jewish life, issues, and place on Miami’s campus. Additionally, AJS co-sponsors Jewish holiday celebrations including (but not limited to) weekly Shabbat services and dinner, High Holy Day services, Passover Seders, and other holiday traditions. AJS and Hillel work in pursuit of ensuring that all students may freely explore and express their identities.

Miami Students for Israel (MSI)

MSI is the Miami University pro-Israel student organization. Members of MSI share an interest in and commitment to the people of Israel. MSI also shares its value of a strong US-Israel connection with the Miami community.
