AJS Information
The AJS Executive Board meets every Wednesday night.  All are welcome to attend.

Broken Glass at Miami: Remembering Kristalnacht
Friday, November 9- Broken Glass at Miami: Remembering Kristallnacht
6pm at Hillel

Dayton resident and Holocaust survivor Mr. Samuel Lauber will be joining us for Shabbat services. He will be speaking about his experiences as a hidden child during the Holocaust.  Hillel will provide a free, kosher, traditional-style Shabbat meal immediately following services. (Free dinner generously sponsored by the Jewish Federation of Cincinnati.)

If anyone would like to particiapte in the program, please contact Diogo by Tuesday.  Also, all attendees will recieve 1 (one) FREE brand-new Miami Hillel shirt. After Friday, the shirts will be on sale at Hillel for $5.  For more information, talk to Jenny.
 
Veteran's Day & Ladies' Night
Annual Veteran's Day Display
Hillel is partnering with Lights on Campus/Campus Ministry Center and Students for Peace & Justice to honor veterans, those currently serving in the armed forces and those killed serving in Iraq. We need your help to make signs anytime this week at Hillel between 9-6 pm. We also need help setting up and taking down the display on at 8 am and 5 pm on Monday 11/12 (the local commemoration of Veteran's Day). Please call (523-5190) or email Amy to help or just come to Hillel.

Wednesday, November 14- Ladies Night: Girls Night Out! 6pm dinner at Hillel followed by Pottery at You're Fired
Attention all ladies: MARK YOUR CALENDARS!!!  Come to our first ladies night of the semester, Ladies Night: Girls Night Out! on Wednesday, November 14th at 6pm. We will meet at Hillel at 6pm for free dinner and then walk uptown to Your're Fired to paint some pottery.  You're Fired is specially ordering dreidles and menorahs for those who wish to paint Judaic items. Note: This program is open to both men and women.

Hillel will be covering the sitting fee for all participants. You will pay for the pottery you choose to paint.

Shabbat Experience at Miami
FREE Dinner & Services Every Week

You are invited to our weekly Shabbat experience. Student led services begin at 6 pm and FREE dinner is at 7 pm. All are welcome for either services, dinner or both. This week's theme is Kristallnacht, and we will be having a special program and Holocaust survivor speaking.

See your friends, enjoy free food, and celebrate Shabbat!

Torah Chanting/B'nai Mitzvah Classes Coming Soon!
Would you like to learn how to chant Torah? What about becoming bar or bat mitzvah at Hillel?  (While many become b'nai mitzvah at 13, it is possible later as well.) Email Amy, our Director and Rabbinic Resource with the best day/time for your schedule.

Every Wednesday - Discovering Judaism
Learn about Judaism from an Orthodox rabbi from Cincinnati Kollel. Free dairy dinner and informal class at Hillel each Wednesday at 7:15 pm.
